Mukti Society
Mukti Society is a registered charity in Canada providing mental health and addiction services in Surrey, BC. We deliver inclusive, low-barrier support for individuals facing challenges related to substance use, mental health, and criminal justice involvement.
Our services include one-on-one counselling, group therapy, and peer-led recovery programs designed to support youth and adults. Mukti Society focuses on early intervention and prevention, using a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to help individuals build stability, resilience, and long-term recovery.
Mukti Society serves communities across Surrey, Delta, and the surrounding region.
Our Founder
Kam Singh Jugpal founded Mukti Society in 2021 after his own lived experience with mental health challenges, addiction, and recovery. After leaving a criminal lifestyle and entering recovery more than a decade ago, he has dedicated his life to supporting others on similar paths.
With years of experience as a Substance Use Counsellor in Surrey, BC, Kam has worked in recovery and supportive housing programs while delivering inspirational talks to youth. He is a passionate advocate for breaking stigma around addiction and mental health, particularly within the Indo-Canadian community.
