Kamaljit Singh Jugpal is Founder and Executive Director of Mukti Society. Singh is Substance Use Counsellor and Motivational Speaker, passionately working to engage and support vulnerable individuals, with a particular focus on youth and the South Asian community. Through his talks, he shares his lived experience of his past mental health and addiction challenges. As a Counsellor, Singh focuses on Positive Psychology utilizing a Strength-Based, Humanistic Approach.
Jesse Rempel is a therapist who has completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) at Adler University. Rempel provides individual therapy and psychoeducational assessments for children, youth, and adults. He is passionate about helping people recovering from trauma and has a particular interest in working with anxiety, depression, substance use, and attachment issues within the family context.
Amy Reid is a Communications Specialist based in Surrey. Reid spent more than a decade as a multi-skilled journalist/photographer at a community newspaper in Surrey before entering the world of non-profit as a Fund Development and Communications Manager. In 2022, she entered government communications and currently works as Communications and Media Relations Lead for the City of Surrey.
Irene McCready holds a Masters Degree in Social Work, as well as two undergraduate degrees. McCready has been a Social Worker for over 25 years, having held clinical positions at both Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health. She has a long history assisting individuals through substance use, anxiety, depression, mental illness and relationship stressors.
