OUR PROGRAMS:

1. Mukti Hope & Freedom – Free Counselling

Mukti Hope & Freedom currently provides free, trauma-informed mental health and substance-use counselling for adults (19+) facing significant barriers to care in Surrey BC, with expansion to youth planned for 2026. Services are delivered by certified counsellors and trained peer mentors using a client-centred, strength-based approach. Participants can access up to six one-hour counselling sessions, along with referrals to recovery, housing, and health services. The program supports individuals navigating alcohol and drug recovery, relapse prevention, anxiety, depression, and trauma, while also reducing risk of recidivism and justice-system involvement by addressing root causes early and supporting stability and reintegration. Services are low-barrier, culturally responsive, and accessible to individuals in sober living or transitional housing, addressing stigma and access gaps intensified by the opioid crisis.

2. Mukti Moving Forward Initiative (Transportation & Outreach)

The Mukti Moving Forward Initiative provides transportation and peer-led recovery outreach for individuals who face barriers accessing essential services. Supports include transportation to medical and mental health appointments, Suboxone and methadone clinics, treatment intakes, court dates, job interviews, and housing-related appointments. Peer navigators offer one-on-one guidance, system navigation, and advocacy, helping participants manage complex health, legal, and social systems. This program reduces missed appointments, relapse risk, and crisis events while strengthening recovery stability and independence.

3. Mukti Life Skills & Training Program

This program delivers structured life skills and employment-readiness training for adults in recovery, with planned expansion to youth programming in 2026. Workshops focus on resume development, interview preparation, communication and conflict resolution, financial literacy, goal setting, and decision-making. Delivered through multi-week cycles, the program supports participants transitioning from sober living or unstable situations toward long-term independence, employment, and community reintegration.

4. Surrey Sober Living Housing
